Then the year 152 AH began
وَفِيهَا عَزَلَ يَزِيدَ بْنَ حَاتِمٍ عَنْ مِصْرَ، وَاسْتَعْمَلَ عَلَيْهَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، وَكَانَ عُمَّالُ الْأَمْصَارِ سِوَى مَا ذَكَرْنَا الَّذِينَ تَقَدَّمَ ذِكْرُهُمْ. وَبَعَثَ إِلَى نَائِبِ إِفْرِيقِيَّةَ، وَكَانَ قَدْ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّهُ عَصَى وَخَالَفَ، فَلَمَّا جِيءَ بِهِ أَمَرَ بِضَرْبِ عُنُقِهِ. وَعَزَلَ عَنِ الْبَصْرَةِ جَابِرَ بْنَ تَوْبَةَ الْكِلَابِيَّ، وَوَلَّاهَا يَزِيدَ بْنَ مَنْصُورٍ.
Translation
✧ In this year, he dismissed Yazīd b. Ḥātim from Egypt and appointed Muḥammad b. Saʿīd over it. The governors of the amṣār, other than those we have mentioned, were those whose mention has preceded. He sent to the deputy of Ifrīqiyyah, as it had reached him that he had disobeyed and opposed; when he was brought, he ordered that his neck be struck. He dismissed from al-Baṣrah Jābir b. Tawbah al-Kilābī and appointed over it Yazīd b. Manṣūr.
