Then the year 149 AH began
وَفِيهَا عُزِلَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ مَكَّةَ فِي قَوْلِ بَعْضِهِمْ، وَاسْتُعْمِلَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ. وَكَانَ عُمَّالُ الْأَمْصَارِ مَنْ تَقَدَّمَ ذِكْرُهُمْ سِوَى مَكَّةَ وَالطَّائِفِ.
Translation
✧ In it, ʿAbd al-Ṣamad b. ʿAlī was dismissed from Makkah, according to some of them, and Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm was appointed. The governors of the amṣār were those mentioned previously, except Makkah and al-Ṭāʾif.
