Then the year 141 AH began
وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ هَذِهِ السَّنَةَ صَالِحُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَهُوَ عَلَى الشَّامِ. وَعَلَى الْكُوفَةِ: عِيسَى بْنُ مُوسَى، وَعَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ: سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَعَلَى خُرَاسَانَ الْمَهْدِيُّ، وَخَلِيفَتُهُ بِهَا السَّرِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَعَلَى الْمَوْصِلِ: إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ.
Translation
✧ The people's pilgrimage this year was led by Ṣāliḥ b. ʿAlī b. ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAbbās, while he was governor of Syria. Over Kufa was ʿĪsā b. Mūsā, over Basra was Sufyān b. Muʿāwiya, over Khurasan was al-Mahdī, with his deputy there al-Sarī b. ʿAbd Allāh, and over Mosul was Ismāʿīl b. ʿAlī.
