حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مِلْحَانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ السَّبَّاقِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ
إِذَا تَشَهَّدَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَلْيَقُلِ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَارْحَمْ مُحَمَّدًا وَآلَ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ وَبَارَكْتَ وَتَرَحَّمْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حُمَيْدٌ مَجِيدٌ «» وَأَكْثَرُ الشَّوَاهِدِ لِهَذِهِ الْقَاعِدَةِ لِفُرُوضِ الصَّلَاةِ

✧ On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said, "When any one of you performs the Tashahhud (bearing witness) in prayer, let him say: O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, and bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, and have mercy upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You have sent prayers, blessed, and had mercy upon Ibrahim. Verily, You are Worthy of Praise and Glorious. And the majority of the narrations for this principle are for the obligations of prayer."
