حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ وَحدثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْحَرَشِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ قَالُوا ثنا سُفْيَانُ وَاللَّفْظُ لِلْحُمَيْدِيِّ ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ كُرْزَ بْنَ عَلْقَمَةَ يَقُولُ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ لِلْإِسْلَامِ مِنْ مُنْتَهًى؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَعَمْ أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ وَالْعَجَمِ أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهِمْ خَيْرًا أَدْخَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْإِسْلَامَ ثُمَّ تَقَعُ الْفِتَنُ كَأَنَّهَا الظُّلَلُ» تَابَعَهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ وَيُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّلم يخرجاه لتفرد عروة عن كرز وهو صحابي

✧ I heard Kurz b. 'Alqamah say: A man asked the Prophet ﷺ, saying: O Messenger of Allah, is there a limit to Islam? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Yes, whichever household of the Arabs and non-Arabs Allah intends good for, He brings Islam upon them, then trials fall upon them as if they were clouds." Muhammad b. Rashid and Yunus b. Yazid concurred with this from al-Zuhri. They did not include it in their two Sahihs due to 'Urwah's being alone in narrating from Kurz, and he is a companion.
