حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ «أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ مُوسَى بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ النَّهْدِيُّ وَإِنْ كَانَ الْبُخَارِيُّ يَحْتَجُّ بِهِ فَإِنَّهُ كَثِيرُ الْوَهْمِ لَا يُحْكَمُ لَهُ عَلَى أَبِي عَاصِمٍ النَّبِيلِ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ وَأَقْرَانِهِمْ بَلْ يَلْزَمُ الْخَطَأُ إِذَا خَالَفَهُمْ وَالدَّلِيلُ عَلَى مَا ذَكَرْتُهُ مُتَابَعَةُ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الثَّوْرِيَّ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ وَجَرِيرٌ مِنْ أَعْرِفِ النَّاسِ بِحَدِيثِ مَنْصُورٍ» على شرطهما
Translation

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, similar to it. «Abu Hudhayfah Musa b. Mas'ud al-Nahdi—though al-Bukhari relies on him as evidence—he makes many errors; he is not to be preferred over Abu 'Asim al-Nabil and Muhammad b. Kathir and their peers; rather, he is to be deemed mistaken when he contradicts them. The evidence for what I have mentioned is the corroboration of Jarir b. 'Abd al-Hamid al-Thawri in his narration from Mansur, from Rib'i, from 'Ali. Jarir is among the most knowledgeable of people in the hadith of Mansur.» According to the conditions of both (al-Bukhari and Muslim).
