✧ Indeed, the earths: between each earth and the one that follows it is a distance of five hundred years' journey. The uppermost of them is on the back of a fish whose two ends meet in the sky. The fish is on a rock, and the rock is in the hand of an angel. The second is the place of the wind's subjection. When Allah willed to destroy 'Ad, He commanded the keeper of the wind to send upon them a wind to destroy 'Ad. He said, "O Lord, shall I send upon them a wind the size of a bull's nostril?" The Compeller, Blessed and Exalted, said to him, "Then it would suffice the earth and whoever is on it, but send upon them the size of a ring." This is the one about which Allah ﷻ said in His Mighty Book: {It spared nothing that it came upon, but made it like decayed bones} [Al-Dhariyat 42]. The third contains the stones of Hell. The fourth contains the brimstone of Hell. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, does the Fire have brimstone?" He said, "Yes, by the One in whose hand is my soul, in it there are valleys of brimstone. If the firmly rooted mountains were sent into it, they would melt. The fifth contains the serpents of Hell. Their mouths are like valleys. They bite the disbeliever with a bite, and no flesh remains on his bones. The sixth contains the scorpions of Hell. The smallest scorpion among them is like saddled mules. It strikes the disbeliever with a strike, and its strike makes him forget the heat of Hell. The seventh is Saqar, and in it is Iblis, shackled in iron, one hand before him and one hand behind him. When Allah wills to release him for whatever He wills of His servants, He releases him."
