حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحُجْوَانِيُّ بِالْكُوفَةِ ثَنَا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ

بَكَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ فَبَكَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فَقَالَ مَا يُبْكِيكِ؟ قَالَتْ رَأَيْتُكَ تَبْكِي فَبَكَيْتُ قَالَ إِنِّي نُبِّئْتُ أَنِّي وَارِدُهَا وَلَمْ أُنَبَّأْ أَنِّي صَادِرُهَا

✧ ʿAbdullāh b. Rawāḥah wept, and his wife wept. He said: 'What makes you weep?' She said: 'I saw you weeping, so I wept.' He said: 'I have been informed that I will come to it, but I have not been informed that I will depart from it.'
