✧ As for the saying of Ma'mar

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رُقًى كُنَّا نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا وَأَدْوِيَةٌ كُنَّا نَتَدَاوَى بِهَا هَلْ تَرُدُّ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى؟ قَالَ «هُوَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ»

✧ I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, incantations which we used to recite and medicines which we used to treat with—do they repel anything from the decree of Allah, Exalted?' He said: «It is from the decree of Allah.»
