✧ I was with Abdullah b. Umar when a young man came to him asking about letting the turban hang down. Ibn Umar said: 'I will tell you about that with knowledge, if Allah Almighty wills.' He said: 'I was the tenth of ten in the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Ibn Mas'ud, Hudhayfah, Ibn Awf, and Abu Sa'id al-Khudri. A young man from the Ansar came, greeted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then sat down and said: "O Messenger of Allah, which of the believers is best?" He said: "The one with the best character." He said: "Which of the believers is most astute?" He said: "The one who remembers death most and best prepares for it before it comes to them; those are the astute ones." Then the young man fell silent.' Sahih.
