  1. al-Ḥasan b. Ḥalīm al-Marwazī

✧ Abu al-Muwajjah narrated to us, Abdan informed us, Abdullah informed us, Sufyan informed us from Jami' b. Abi Rashid from Abu Ya'la Mundhir al-Thawri from al-Hasan b. Muhammad b. Ali from a freedwoman of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, she said: The Prophet ﷺ entered upon Aishah or upon one of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ while I was with him, and he said: "When evil appears and they do not forbid it, Allah sends His punishment upon them." A man said: O Prophet of Allah, even if there are righteous people among them? He said: "Yes, what befell them will befall them, then they will go to Allah's forgiveness and mercy" – or "to Allah's mercy and forgiveness." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
