✧ I came upon Hudhayfah and Ibn Mas'ud while they were talking in the mosque. They mentioned tribulation, and Ibn Mas'ud said: “I never thought it would turn back on its heels without a cupping-glass of blood being spilled in it. A man will become a believer in the morning and a disbeliever in the evening, and a disbeliever in the morning and a believer in the evening. He will fight in tribulation today and Allah will kill him tomorrow; his heart will be overturned and his buttocks will rise.” Hudhayfah said: “You have spoken the truth; thus the Messenger of Allah ﷺ narrated to us about tribulation.”
