أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَمْرٍو إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ نُجَيْدٍ السُّلَمِيُّ وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَالَا أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ حَيْوَةَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ مِشْرَحِ بْنِ هَاعَانَ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

«مَنْ عَلَّقَ وَدَعَةً فَلَا وَدَعَ اللَّهُ لَهُ وَمَنْ عَلَّقَ تَمِيمَةً فَلَا تَمَّمَ اللَّهُ لَهُ»

✧ Whoever hangs a shell amulet, may Allah not grant him peace; and whoever hangs a talisman, may Allah not complete [his affair] for him.
