حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَا ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ الْعَاصِ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ يَكْتُبَانِ الْمَصَاحِفَ فَمَرَّا عَلَى هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ فَقَالَ زَيْدٌ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الشَّيْخُ وَالشَّيْخَةُ إِذَا زَنَيَا فَارْجُمُوهُمَا الْبَتَّةَ» فَقَالَ عَمْرٌو لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ أَكْتُبُهَا؟ فَكَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَمْرٌو «أَلَا تَرَى أَنَّ الشَّيْخَ إِذَا زَنَى وَقَدْ أُحْصِنَ جُلِدَ وَرُجِمَ وَإِذَا لَمْ يُحْصِنْ جُلِدَ وَأَنَّ الثَّيِّبَ إِذَا زَنَى وَقَدْ أُحْصِنَ رُجِمَ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The old man and the old woman, if they commit adultery, stone them absolutely." 'Amr said: When it was revealed, I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Shall I write it down?" It was as if he disliked that. 'Amr said to him: "Do you not see that an old man, if he commits adultery and is muhsan, he is flogged and stoned; and if he is not muhsan, he is flogged; and that a previously married person, if he commits adultery and is muhsan, he is stoned."

  • هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
