حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ

عَنْ نُبَيْحٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَمْشُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ وَلَا خَلْفِي فَإِنَّ هَذَا مَقَامُ الْمَلَائِكَةِ» قَالَ جَابِرٌ «جِئْتُ أَسْعَى إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كَأَنِّي شَرَارَةٌ»

✧ From Nubayh al-'Anazi, from Jabir b. 'Abd Allah, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not walk in front of me or behind me, for this is the station of the angels.' Jabir said: 'I came running to the Prophet ﷺ as if I were a spark.'
