حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ ثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ النَّخَعِ قَالَ

كُنَّا مَعَ سَالِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ فِي سَفَرٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ الثَّوْرِيِّ «رَوَاهُ جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَلَى الْوَهْمِ فَأَسْقَطَ الرَّجُلَ الْمَجْهُولَ النَّخَعِيَّ بَيْنَ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ وَسَالِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ»

✧ We were with Salim b. Ubayd on a journey, and he mentioned the hadith in full, similar to the hadith of al-Thawri. "It was narrated by Jarir b. Abd al-Hamid from Mansur based on a misunderstanding, as he omitted the unknown man of al-Nakha'i between Hilal b. Yasaf and Salim b. Ubayd."
