أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْقُرَشِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ الْقِرْقِسَائِيُّ ثَنَا سَلَّامُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ وَالْمُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ قَالَ

أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِأَعْرَابِيٍّ أَسِيرٍ فَقَالَ أَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ﷻ وَلَا أَتُوبُ إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «عَرَفَ الْحَقَّ لِأَهْلِهِ»

✧ A captive Bedouin was brought to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'I repent to Allah, Exalted is He, and I do not repent to Muhammad.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'He has recognized the truth for its people.'
