✧ I heard Umar and I have not seen anyone among us who is similar, saying that Saad ibn Zurarah had an illness and the people of Medina called it "dhabh" (slaughter). So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cauterized him and he died. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May the Jews say about the deceased, 'If it was not for the intervention of his companion (referring to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ) and I had no control or possession over him, nor anything for myself.'"
