Dutifulness to Parents and Maintaining Ties of Kinship > Abdullah b. Amr

وَقَدْ حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَفِيدُ قَالَا ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نَصْرٍ ثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثَنَا فِطْرُ عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ هَذَا وَهْمٌ فَإِنَّ شُرَحْبِيلَ هَذَا هُوَ أَبُو سَعْدٍ شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ شَيْخٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ

Translation

✧ Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad b. 'Abd Allah b. Dinar and Abu Bakr Muhammad b. 'Abd Allah al-Hafid narrated to us, they said: Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Nasr narrated to us, Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Fitr narrated to us from Shurahbil b. Muslim from Ibn 'Abbas from the Prophet ﷺ something similar. This is an error, for this Shurahbil is Abu Sa'd Shurahbil b. Sa'd, a shaykh from the people of Madinah.

    هذا خطأ إنما هو فطر عن شرحبيل بن سعد عن ابن عباس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كذا حدثنا أبو نعيم عن فطر والخطأ من عطاء بن مسلم

    machine translationThis is a mistake. It is only Faṭr, from Shuraḥbīl b. Saʿd, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from the Prophet ﷺ. Thus Abū Nuʿaym narrated to us from Faṭr, and the mistake is from ʿAṭāʾ b. Muslim.
