Notes

machine translationThis is a ḥadīth with a sound chain (ṣaḥīḥ al-isnād), though they (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) did not include it in their collections. I think it is fabricated (mawḍūʿ), and its chain is dark.

What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationA rejected (munkar) ḥadīth, as if it were fabricated (mawḍūʿ). Mūsā is very weak (ḍaʿīf) in ḥadīth, and his father Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm al-Taymī did not hear from Jābir or from Abū Saʿīd, and he narrated only one ḥadīth from Anas.

  • Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥākim

machine translationThis hadith has an authentic chain of transmission (ṣaḥīḥ al-isnād), though they did not record it.
