✧ From the Prophet ﷺ that food was brought to him. A bedouin came as if he were being driven away, and he reached for it. The Prophet ﷺ took his hand. Then a slave girl came as if she were being driven away, and the Prophet ﷺ took her hand. Then he said: When you exhausted the devil, the bedouin and the slave girl came so that he might make the food permissible through them when the name of Allah had not been mentioned over it. In the name of Allah, eat.

هذا خطأ رواه الأعمش عن خيثمة عن أبي حذيفة الأرحبي عن حذيفة وليس هو من حديث زيد بن وهب فقلت لهما الوهم ممن هو قالا من معمر
machine translationThis is an error. Al-Aʿmash narrated it from Khaythamah, from Abū Ḥudhayfah al-Arḥabī, from Ḥudhayfah, and it is not from the hadith of Zayd b. Wahb. So I said to the two of them: "Who is the source of the mistake (wahm)?" They said: "From Maʿmar."
