✧ As for the saying of Abu Awana

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَطِيعِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَا ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ
«كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَآخُذُ قَبْضَةً مِنَ الْحَصَى لِيَبْرُدَ فِي كَفِّي أَضَعُهَا لِجَبْهَتِي أَسْجُدُ عَلَيْهَا لِشِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ»

✧ 'I used to pray Zuhr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I would take a handful of pebbles so they would cool in my palm. I would place them for my forehead to prostrate on them due to the intense heat.'
