al-Mustadrak (al-Hakim) 6997

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَوَانَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ خَالِ وَلَدِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ «قَدْ صَحَّتِ الرِّوَايَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ فَإِنْ كَانَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ فَهُوَ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ وَإِنْ كَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَقَدْ سَمِعَ عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ مِنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ»

Translation

✧ Abu al-'Abbas Muhammad b. Ya'qub narrated to us: Muhammad b. Ishaq al-Saghani narrated to us: 'Abd Allah b. Bakr al-Sahmi narrated to us: Yazid b. 'Awana narrated to us, from Muhammad b. Dhakwan, the maternal uncle of the children of Hammad b. Zayd, from 'Amr b. Dinar, from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet ﷺ, something similar. "The narration from 'Amr b. Dinar has been authenticated. If it is from Salim, then it is unusual but sound; and if it is from Ibn 'Umar, then 'Amr b. Dinar did hear from Ibn 'Umar."

    يرويه محمد بن ذكوان وهو خال ولد حماد بن زيد عن عمرو بن دينار عن ابن عمر خالفه حماد بن زيد فرواه عن عمرو بن دينار عن أبي جعفر عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مرسلا وهو الصواب

    machine translationMuḥammad b. Dhakwān narrates it, and he is the maternal uncle of the son of Ḥammād b. Zayd, from ʿAmr b. Dīnār, from Ibn ʿUmar. Ḥammād b. Zayd contradicted him and narrated it from ʿAmr b. Dīnār, from Abū Jaʿfar, from the Prophet ﷺ as a mursal report (mursal), and that is the correct version.
