أَخْبَرَنَا دَعْلَجُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ السِّجْزِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا شَاذُّ بْنُ فَيَّاضٍ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ ثنا هَاشِمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ كِنَانَةَ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ قَالَتْ
دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا أَبْكِي فَقَالَ «يَا بِنْتَ حُيَيٍّ مَا يُبْكِيكِ؟» قُلْتُ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ يَنَالَانِ مِنِّي وَيَقُولَانِ نَحْنُ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا نَحْنُ بَنَاتُ عَمِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَزْوَاجُهُ قَالَ أَلَا قُلْتِ كَيْفَ تَكُونَانِ خَيْرًا مِنِّي وَأَبِي هَارُونُ وَعَمِّي مُوسَى وَزَوْجِي مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِمْ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me while I was crying. He said, "O daughter of Huyayy, what makes you cry?" I said, "It has reached me that Hafsah and A'ishah disparage me and say: We are better than her; we are the daughters of the paternal uncle of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his wives." He said, "Why did you not say: How can you be better than me when my father is Harun, my uncle is Musa, and my husband is Muhammad, may Allah's blessings and peace be upon them?" Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
