أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ السَّكُونِيُّ بِالْكُوفَةِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ حَدَّثَنِي رَزِينٌ حَدَّثَتْنِي سَلْمَى قَالَتْ
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَهِيَ تَبْكِي فَقُلْتُ مَا يُبْكِيكِ؟ قَالَتْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَنَامِ يَبْكِي وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ التُّرَابُ فَقُلْتُ مَا لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «شَهِدْتُ قَتْلَ الْحُسَيْنِ آنِفًا» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ I entered upon Umm Salamah while she was weeping. I asked, "What makes you weep?" She said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a dream, weeping, with dust on his head and beard. I said, 'What is wrong with you, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'I have just witnessed the killing of al-Husayn.'" Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
