أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحَسَّانِيُّ ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ سُعَيْرٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ

أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ صَفْوَانَ أَتَى عَائِشَةَ وَآخَرَ مَعَهُ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ لِأَحَدِهِمَا أَسَمِعْتَ حَدِيثَ حَفْصَةَ يَا فُلَانُ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَقَالَ لَهَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ وَمَا ذَاكَ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ؟ قَالَتْ «خِلَالٌ لِي تِسْعٌ لَمْ تَكُنْ لِأَحَدٍ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ قَبْلِي إِلَّا مَا آتَى اللَّهُ ﷻ مَرْيَمَ بِنْتَ عِمْرَانَ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَقُولُ هَذَا إِنِّي أَفْخَرُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ صَوَاحِبَاتِي» فَقَالَ لَهَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ وَمَا هُنَّ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ؟ قَالَتْ «جَاءَ الْمَلَكُ بِصُورَتِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَتَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا ابْنَةُ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ وَأُهْدِيتُ إِلَيْهِ وَأَنَا ابْنَةُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ وَتَزَوَّجَنِي بِكْرًا لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي أَحَدٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَكَانَ يَأْتِيِهِ الْوَحْيُ وَأَنَا وَهُوَ فِي لِحَافٍ وَاحِدٍ وَكُنْتُ مِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيْهِ وَنَزَلَ فِيَّ آيَاتٌ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ كَادَتِ الْأُمَّةُ تَهْلِكُ فِيهِ وَرَأَيْتُ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ وَلَمْ يَرَهُ أَحَدٌ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ غَيْرِي وَقُبِضَ فِي بَيْتِي لَمْ يَلِهِ أَحَدٌ غَيْرُ الْمَلَكِ إِلَّا أَنَا»

✧ That ʿAbd Allāh b. Ṣafwān came to ʿĀʾishah with another man. ʿĀʾishah said to one of them, 'Did you hear the ḥadīth of Ḥafṣah, O so-and-so?' He said, 'Yes, O Mother of the Believers.' ʿAbd Allāh b. Ṣafwān said to her, 'And what is that, O Mother of the Believers?' She said, 'I have nine qualities that no woman before me had, except what Allah ﷻ gave Maryam bt. ʿImrān. By Allah, I do not say this to boast over any of my companions.' ʿAbd Allāh b. Ṣafwān said to her, 'What are they, O Mother of the Believers?' She said, 'The angel brought my image to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married me when I was seven years old, and I was given to him when I was nine years old. He married me as a virgin, which no other person had. Revelation came to him while he and I were under one blanket. I was among the most beloved of people to him. Verses of the Qur'an were revealed concerning me, which the ummah almost perished over. I saw Jibrīl ﷺ, and no one among his wives saw him except me. He passed away in my house, and no one attended him except the angel and I.'

  • هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
