✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting in Quba with a group of people. Mus'ab b. Umayr stood up wearing a burdah that barely covered him, and the people lowered their heads. He came and greeted, and they returned his greeting. The Prophet ﷺ said good about him and praised him, then said: 'I saw this one with his parents in Makkah; they honored him and pampered him, and there was no young man of Quraysh like him. Then he left all that seeking the pleasure of Allah and the support of His Messenger. Indeed, it will not be long before Persia and Rome are conquered for you, and one of you will go out in a fine garment and return in a fine garment, and a large bowl will be brought to you in the morning and another in the evening.' They said: O Messenger of Allah, are we better today or on that day? He said: 'Rather, you today are better than you on that day. If you knew of this world what I know, your souls would find rest from it.' Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
