وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ السَّكُونِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ مَعْنٍ السَّعْدِيُّ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شِمْرِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ خُرَيْمِ بْنِ فَاتِكٍ

أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا خُرَيْمُ بْنَ فَاتِكٍ لَوْلَا خَصْلَتَيْنِ فِيكَ لَكُنْتَ أَنْتَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ مَا هُمَا بِأَبِي أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «وَفْيرُ شَعْرِكَ وَتَسْبِيلُ إِزَارِكَ» فَانْطَلَقَ خُرَيْمٌ فَجَزَّ شَعْرَهُ وَقَصَّرَ إِزَارَهُإسناده مظلم

✧ He came to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "O Khuraim b. Fatik, were it not for two traits in you, you would be the man." He said, "What are they, may my father be your ransom, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Your abundant hair and your trailing lower garment." So Khuraim went and cut his hair and shortened his garment. Its chain is dark.
