حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَرْبِيُّ ثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ
«عَامِرُ بْنُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَحْشِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ لَيْثٍ وُلِدَ عَامَ أُحُدٍ وَأَدْرَكَ مِنْ حَيَاةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ثَمَانَ سِنِينَ نَزَلَ الْكُوفَةَ ثُمَّ أَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ حَتَّى مَاتَ وَهُوَ آخِرُ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَاتَ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَمِائَةٍ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ ‘Āmir b. Wāthilah b. ‘Abd Allāh b. ‘Amr b. Jaḥsh b. Ḥayyān b. Sa‘d b. Layth. He was born in the year of Uḥud and lived eight years of the life of the Prophet ﷺ. He settled in Kufa, then resided in Makkah until he died, and he was the last of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to die. He died in the year one hundred and two. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhīṣ.
