✧ He (Abu Raafi') informed him that he came with a letter from Quraysh to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: When I delivered the letter, Islam was cast into my heart. I said: O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, I will never return to them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I do not break a covenant, nor do I fail to return a messenger, but go back to them. If what is in your heart now remains in your heart, then come back." He said: So I returned to them, then I came back to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and embraced Islam. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
