حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ

«كَانَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ يُخَاطَبُ بِالْأَمِيرِ حَتَّى مَاتَ يَقُولُونَ بَعَثَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ Usama b. Zayd was addressed as 'the commander' until he died. They would say, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent him.' Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
