أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ قَالَ
«وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُغَفَّلٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ يُكَنَّى أَبَا سَعِيدٍ وَذَكَرَ هَذَا النَّسَبَ وَزَادَ فِيهِ وَأُمُّهُ الْعَتِيلَةُ بِنْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ بْنِ مُزَيْنَةَ وَلَهُ دَارٌ بِالْبَصْرَةِ بِحَضْرَةِ الْجَامِعِ»
Translation

✧ And 'Abd Allah b. Mughaffal al-Muzani, whose kunya is Abu Sa'id - and he mentioned this lineage and added to it: His mother was al-'Atila bt. Mu'awiya b. Qurra b. Muzayna, and he had a house in Basra near the mosque.
