أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَلِيمٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُوَجِّهِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدَانُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَنْبَأَ حَشْرَجُ بْنُ نُبَاتَةَ أَنْبَأَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُمْهَانَ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى صَاحِبَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ مَحْجُوبُ الْبَصَرِ فَقَالَ لِي مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قُلْتُ أَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُمْهَانَ قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَ وَالِدُكَ؟ قُلْتُ قَتَلَتْهُ الْأَزَارِقَةُ قَالَ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْأَزَارِقَةَ «حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُمْ كِلَابُ النَّارِ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ I came to Abdullah b. Abi Awfa, the Companion of the Prophet ﷺ, and greeted him while he had lost his sight. He said to me, "Who are you?" I said, "I am Sa'id b. Jumhan." He said, "What has happened to your father?" I said, "The Azariqah killed him." He said, "May Allah curse the Azariqah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us that they are the dogs of Hell." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
