✧ And Rafi' b. Khadij b. Rafi' b. 'Adi b. Zayd b. Jusham b. Harithah b. al-Harith b. al-Khazraj b. 'Amr, who is al-Nabit b. Malik b. Aws. Rafi' witnessed Uhud, the Trench, and all the battles with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Rafi' was struck on the day of Uhud by an arrow in his collarbone, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: 'If you wish, I will remove the arrow and leave the velvet, and I will testify for you on the Day of Resurrection that you are a martyr.' Rafi' left it because of the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and for a long time he felt nothing from it. When he laughed heartily, it would show. Then, during the caliphate of Uthman, that wound reopened and he died from it. This is not authentic, and its meaning is not sound.
