✧ When Ibn Abbas lost his sight, a man came to him and said to him, "If you endure for seven days without praying except lying on your back and making gestures, I will treat you and you will be cured, if Allah Almighty wills." So he sent to Aisha, Abu Hurayrah, and others among the companions of Muhammad ﷺ. Each of them said, "What do you think? If I die within these seven days, how will you handle the prayer?" So he left his eye alone and did not treat it. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
