أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْأَسَدِيُّ ثَنَا أَبِي ثَنَا أَشْعَثُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ
أَنَّهُ كَبَّرَ عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَرْبَعًا وَقَالَ «هَلَكَ رَبَّانِيُّ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ»
