أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْقَنْطَرِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثَنَا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ ثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنً عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ حُيَيٍّ قَالَ
«كُنْتُ أَنَا وَحُيَىُّ بْنُ يَعْلَى وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ فَآتِي ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَكُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ النَّسَبِ وَيَسْأَلًهُ حُيَيٌّ عَنْ أَيَّامِ الْعَرَبِ وَيَسْأَلُهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ الْفُتْيَا فَكَأَنَّمَا نَغْرِفُ مِنْ بَحْرٍ»
