حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ
كَانَ بِلَالُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْمُزَنِيُّ أَحَدَ مَنْ يَحْمِلُ لِوَاءً مِنَ الْأَلْوِيَةِ الثَّلَاثَةِ الَّتِي عَقَدَهَا لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَكَانَ بِلَالُ يُكَنَّى أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَكَانَ يَسْكُنُ جَبَلَيْ مُزَيْنَةَ الْأَشْعَرِ وَالْأَجْرَدِ وَيَأْتِي الْمَدِينَةَ كَثِيرًا وَتُوُفِّيَ سَنَةَ سِتِّينَ وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ابْنُ ثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً

✧ Bilal b. al-Harith al-Muzani was one of those who carried one of the three banners which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ tied for them on the day of the conquest of Makkah. Bilal was given the kunya Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, and he used to dwell in the two mountains of Muzaynah, al-Ash'ar and al-Ajrad, and he came to Madinah often. He died in the year sixty, and on that day he was eighty years old.
