حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ وَأَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ أَبَا أُسَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ قَدِمَ بِسَبْيٍ مِنَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ فَصَفُّوا فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ تَبْكِي فَقَالَ «مَا يُبْكِيكِ؟» فَقَالَتْ بِيعَ ابْنِي فِي بَنِي عَبْسٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِأَبِي أُسَيْدٍ «لَتَرْكَبَنَّ فَلْتَجِيئَنَّ بِهِ» فَرَكِبَ أَبُو أُسَيْدٍ فَجَاءَ بِهِ

✧ Abu Usayd al-Ansari brought captives from al-Bahrayn and they were lined up. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood and looked at them, and behold, a woman was weeping. He said, 'What makes you weep?' She said, 'My son was sold among the Banu 'Abs.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Abu Usayd, 'You shall ride and bring him.' So Abu Usayd rode and brought him.
