أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثَنَا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ ثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ مَجْزَأَةَ
أَنَّ أَبَا مَحْذُورَةَ كَانَتْ لَهُ قُصَّةٌ فِي مُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ إِذَا قَعَدَ أَرْسَلَهَا فَتَبْلُغُ الْأَرْضَ فَقَالُوا لَهُ أَلَا تَحْلِقُهَا؟ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَسَحَ عَلَيْهَا بِيَدِهِ فَلَمْ أَكُنْ لِأَحْلِقَهَا حَتَّى أَمُوتَ» فَلَمْ يَحْلِقْهَا حَتَّى مَاتَسكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ Abu Mahdhurah had a forelock on the front of his head; when he sat, he would let it down and it would reach the ground. They said to him, 'Will you not shave it?' He said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiped over it with his hand, so I will not shave it until I die.' So he did not shave it until he died. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
