وَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْعَدْلُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ الْإِمَامَ يَقُولُ وَذَكَرَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ «كَانَ مِنْ أَكْثَرِ أَصْحَابِهِ
عَنْهُ رِوَايَةً فِيمَا انْتَشَرَ مِنْ رِوَايَتِهِ وَرِوَايَةِ غَيْرِهِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَعَ مَخَارَجٍ صِحَاحٍ» قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ «وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ مَعَ جَلَالَةِ قَدْرِهِ وَنُزُولِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عِنْدَهُ»
Translation

- Abū Bakr Muḥammad b. Isḥāq al-Imām
- And Dhakar Abū Hurayrah
✧ From him, a narration regarding what has spread of his narrations and the narrations of others among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, with sound sources." Abu Bakr said, "And Abu Ayyub al-Ansari narrated from him, despite his lofty status and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ staying with him."
