أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُوسَى ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ السَّعْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ قَالَ
رَجُلٌ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُكْثِرُ الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ «أُعِيذُكَ بِاللَّهِ أَنْ تَكُونَ فِي شَكٍّ مِمَّا يَجِيءُ بِهِ وَلَكِنَّهُ اجْتَرَأَ وَجَبُنَّا» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ A man said to Ibn Umar that Abu Hurairah narrates many hadiths from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Ibn Umar replied, "I seek refuge with Allah for you from being in doubt about what he brings. But he was bold while we were timid." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
