✧ The mother of Sa'd and the mother of his two brothers 'Umayr and 'Amir was Hamnah bint Abi Sufyan ibn Umayyah ibn 'Abd Shams. 'Umayr was martyred at Badr, and 'Amir was among those who emigrated to Abyssinia. He used to dye his hair with black—meaning Sa'd.
