حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ ثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ أَبُو يُونُسَ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ رَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أُتِيَ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ يَهْجُوكَ فَقَامَ ابْنُ رَوَاحَةَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ائْذَنْ لِي فِيهِ فَقَالَ «أَنْتَ الَّذِي تَقُولُ ثَبَّتَ اللَّهُ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ [البحر البسيط] فَثَبَّتَ اللَّهُ مَا أَعْطَاكَ مِنْ حَسَنٍ تَثْبِيتَ مُوسَى وَنَصْرًا مِثْلَ مَا نُصِرُوا قَالَ «وَأَنْتَ يَفْعَلُ اللَّهُ بِكَ خَيْرًا مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ» صحيح

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was approached and it was said, "O Messenger of Allah, Abu Sufyan b. al-Harith b. 'Abd al-Muttalib is satirizing you." Ibn Rawaha stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, permit me to deal with him." He said, "Are you the one who says, 'May Allah make firm'?" He said, "Yes, I said, O Messenger of Allah: [al-bahr al-basit] 'May Allah make firm the good He has given you, as firm as Musa was made firm, and grant victory like the victory they were granted.'" He said, "And may Allah do good to you likewise." Sahih.
