أَخْبَرَنِي الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الطَّالْقَانِيُّ ثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ الْيَسَعِ عَنِ الْخَصِيبِ بْنِ جَحْدَبٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ شُفَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي أَسْمَاءَ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ قَالَ
لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا حَلَفْتَ عَلَى مَعْصِيَةٍ فَدَعْهَا وَاقْذِفْ ضَغَائِنَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةَ تَحْتَ قَدَمِكَ وَإِيَّاكَ وَشُرْبَ الْخَمْرِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لَمْ يُقَدِّسْ شَارِبَهَا» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "If you swear to do a sin, then abandon it. Cast the grudges of the Jahiliyyah beneath your feet. And beware of drinking wine, for Allah, Blessed and Exalted, does not sanctify the one who drinks it." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
