أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ ثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّعْرَانِيُّ ثَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ التَّيْمِيُّ ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَخِي قَالَ

أُصِيبَ أَبِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ مَعَ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ «فَأَمَرَ بِهِ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَدُفِنَ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْكَعْبَةِ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ الْخَيْلَ عَلَى قَبْرِهِ لَيْلًا لِيُخْفِيَ أَثَرَهُ»

✧ My father 'Abd al-Rahman was struck down with Ibn al-Zubayr. "Ibn al-Zubayr ordered that he be buried in the mosque of the Ka'ba, then he ordered the horses (to be walked) over his grave at night to conceal its trace."
