أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْمِهْرَجَانِيُّ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ ثَنَا جَمِيلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّائِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو الْمُعَلَّى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ قَالَ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْغِفَارِيُّ يَا طَاعُونُ خُذْنِي إِلَيْكَ فَقَالَ
لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ لِمَ تَقُولُ هَذَا؟ وَقَدْ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لِضُرٍّ نَزَلَ بِهِ» ؟ قَالَ قَدْ سَمِعْتُ مَا سَمِعْتُمْ وَلَكِنِّي أُبَادِرُ سِتًّا بَيْعَ الْحَكَمِ وَكَثْرَةَ الشَّرْطِ وَإِمَارَةَ الصِّبْيَانِ وَسَفْكَ الدِّمَاءِ وَقَطِيعَةَ الرَّحِمِ وَنَشْوًا يَكُونُونَ فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ يَتَّخِذُونَ الْقُرْآنَ مَزَامِيرَسكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ A man from the people said to him: 'Why do you say this, when you heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "None of you should wish for death because of harm that befalls him"?' He said: 'I heard what you heard, but I am hastening towards six things: the sale of al-Hakam, the abundance of stipulations, the rule of youths, the shedding of blood, the severing of kinship ties, and a generation that will come at the end of time who will take the Qur'an as musical instruments.'
