حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ أَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ أَنَّ حَجَّاجَ بْنَ مِنْهَالٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا مَاتَ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ جَلَسْنَا مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي ظِلِّ قَصْرٍ فَقَالَ «هَكَذَا ذَهَابُ الْعِلْمِ لَقَدْ دُفِنَ الْيَوْمَ عَلْمٌ كَثِيرٌ»
