أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ قَالَ
«وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْجَمُوحِ أَصَابَتْهُ نَكْبَةٌ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَبَقِيَ عَلِيلًا إِلَى عَهْدِ عُثْمَانَ ثُمَّ تُوُفِّيَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ وَدُفِنَ بِالْبَقِيعِ»

✧ “And Mu'adh b. Amr b. al-Jamuh was afflicted with a wound on the day of Badr and remained ill until the era of Uthman. Then he died in Madinah in the year fourteen, and Uthman b. Affan prayed over him, and he was buried in al-Baqi'.”
