✧ virtues of 'Ammar b. Yasir
أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ عَنْ أَبِي كَعْبٍ الْحَارِثِيِّ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ طُوَالٌ أَصْلَعُ فِي مُقَدَمِ رَأْسِهِ شَعَرَاتٌ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا؟ فَقَالُوا «عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ»
Translation
✧ Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad b. 'Ali b. 'Abd al-Hamid al-San'ani informed me in Makkah: Ishaq b. Ibrahim narrated to us: 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us: Ma'mar informed us, from Ziyad b. Jabal, from Abu Ka'b al-Harithi, that he entered upon 'Uthman, and a tall, bald man with a few hairs at the front of his head came. I said, “Who is this?” They said, “'Ammar b. Yasir.”
